The Canon 400D has solved two major problems: 1. the much too small monitor of the 350D and the better-placed (and also not accidentally switchable) switch on self-timer or multiple photos. BUT: The built-in flash, although nominally the same performance as in the 350d, but the result is a disaster. I photographed two times with the same motif. That with the 400d (not automatically selected shutter sync speed 1/200) photographed image is much darker than that with the 350d! If I can take in the 350d aperture 22 and my motives (which can be about flowers) so be super sharp, I have to take in the 400d aperture 10 or a maximum of 11 in order to achieve the same brightness. Information from CANON Germany: Yes, so, unfortunately normal. Perhaps create that the successor, to improve in all aspects. Too bad they were on the right track, but who uses the built-in flash, is the 350d better off definitely.
