Class team player for older turntable

I have an old Technics SL-D2 reactivated after 20 years and was now faced with the question of what to get my turntables for a new TA, after I saw that an original Technics replacement now with 159, - Euro is more expensive than it used to be the whole turntable.

By chance I met in a forum on this AT-95E as an idea for my Technics.

I admit, because of the very different opinions on this TA and because I him somehow "too cheap" found ;-), I am long "slipped" to this part around :)

2 days ago, I then decided to buy. Fortunately!!

After a week of import, the part sounds sensational! I had 2 reserve headshells concerned elsewhere and could thus quickly switch between the systems and compare well with each other ((1. the originals Technics 2. The AT-95E and 3. As yet another alternative, the AT-91).

I now use this TA here for my recent discs and for the kind of music which demands dynamism. The 95er sounds really outstanding and I have a quality chain with which I think to be able to assess the (Pioneer AV and a T + A LS system).

The old original TA of Technics I take then for older vinyl and somewhat scratched discs and the AT-91 makes me happy in classical and ancient discs.

Conclusion:

surely it's getting better! But who (still) does not want to deal with audiophile highend in the field Phono, but "only" his beloved turntables again want to breathe life, drives great with this TA from Audio-Technica. Perhaps it is also a "gateway drug" ;-) In any case, it is to my original system a sonic quantum leap and makes me happy and me great pleasure again to vinyl!
