A few years ago a FF-wave seemed to come upon us. So suddenly older FF games were serially ported to the PS1. While this worked quite well in Japan and the US, we were fobbed off in Europe with quite loveless reactions (Pal-bar, no translation, ..). With FF I and II for GBA dne is finally a (successful) translated version of the first two games appeared in our latitudes. Compared to the later episodes Part I and II can not really keep up story moderately of course ... after all the games have been around 20 years old. Nevertheless, they spit today well - which certainly has something to do with the few improvements that complete the overall impression. Thus, the appearance was overhauled - although the same graphic is used already in the Wonderswan conversions (think only in Japan appeared to nem other handheld), ie colorful sprites reminiscent of Super Nintendo and beautifully remixed midi melodies. Furthermore, according SQUAREENIX some storylines were changed to a beautiful coherent action to create even a new dungeon or the 2nd part was designed with new opponents. The best but (in my opinion) renewal is clearly the German translation is true my imagination discovered a few times smaller linguistic Holperer to have (for example, "At the base of the fountain live elves" -.. Then it is but not a fountain but a pond ... O_o) but which are sufficiently serious that one no longer knows very rare and in any case. On the contrary, such acts Part 1 very clearly, has a good menu and a pleasant linear plot (I will often criticized in other games do - but here pleasantly wars ...) - the fights run fast from (though they may also be very very often take place) and the nature of management is absolutely unproblematic. In addition, each defeated opponent will be automatically entered into a monster fibula, together with status values, strengths and weaknesses - sometimes very practical ... In short, a solid and entertaining game. Part Two appears to be a bit more complex, but can not say much ichdarüber because I have not spent a lot of time, which leads me to another benefit: the periphery is a good size. In FF1 I'm just in front of the final and have been playing good 25 hours ... If we add yet part two to tango, one can start from a few weeks of fun ... Closing I want these games combo each warmly recommend the like dealing with RPGs, even if they (especially technically) are getting a bit IE years. Final Fantasy fans will discover and look at the details many familiar things, newcomers are not equal overwhelmed by a more linear system. Techies and friends epic, use rich Handlunsstränge but should rather rely on subsequent FF-parts or other RPGs.
