First of all, I have my Beats by Dre Solo HD sold by me to bring these headphones after I've overheard in a sample SATURN market.
Packing:
Nice presentation. Headphones can be seen directly and should convey at first glance the impression of stability and that they abkönnen much. This will eventually also advertised. In the box itself then is not much more than the headphones themselves and the cable and some info.
The headset itself:
I chose the black / red version. I find them to move with it in everyday life by the optimal size. Comparable to the WESC Banjo or Urbanears Plattan. The headphones look very inconspicuous as they are held almost exclusively in black and you can see no logos directly. The brushed aluminum surrounds what the speaker looks great and feels high quality. Manufacturer and product name are engraved. Also tone-on-tone. I like it very much. The bracket is coated with a kind of neoprene fabric. The upholstery is pleasantly soft and still sits firmly on the head. Everything is sewn clean. The stage in which the headset can be adjusted raced clean and slip while wearing either. It is built a kind of security in the headphones that upon impact the loudspeaker from the bracket "out Poppen" can. In my view, the function is not mandatory but well ... The manufacturer will have what is already thinking. Deposed is this "security belt" in red. Pretty much the only color contrast to the black, but at this point well chosen. Also still red inside the substance is in the speakers themselves which protects them. The upholstery is resting on the ear soft, comfortable to the touch and resistant to deformation. Even so the headphones sitting with a good tension on the ear without pressing.
The cable:
The cable is sheathed with fabric which makes it very robust and prevents this, that it can tie great. Upstairs there is the remote control and the microphone to the headset to be used as a headset. On the remote control, I find unfortunate choice that you can not completely make the sound loud or quietly but can only move in a preselected interval. The connector is angled downward and partly of plastic and partly of aluminum (both in red and with logos provided). All connectors are gold plated.
The sound:
Let's talk about just about the most important part. The Sound. Advertised with a bass-heavy headphones. Well, that I can sign only partially. Bassy he is without question but I would not call him a bass machine. I have a few more beats by dre studio for comparison in which the right speaker vibrates on the ear if you are times fire. But for the bass I forgive a smooth 2. I tested various kinds of music. From Hip Hop and R'n'B, rock, pop, classical and electronic music (Electro, Dubstep, House ...). The sound is nice and clear and you can hear all facets of songs out which one has previously perceived at all. A good headphones gives me personally "stand in the music" feel. So, the sound rushes from left to right through the speakers. Top left, bottom right, clean highs, deep bass ... That fills The Construct already quite satisfactory. Would forgive the sound altogether a 1-. The shield to noises around you is almost perfect on request. I have moved me to the test in the center of Cologne and at home. The louder to set the headphones, the more the world around you begins to speak. It is nothing more true than the music. I find very good but in everyday life you have then the more careful;). For the screening, I forgive the school grade 1. In general, however, I must say that every headset can only be as good as well as the quality of the song is that it plays straight. Poor sound quality laminated no 500 headphones for good.
Criticism:
Yes criticism must be). I find it a pity that the headphones are foldable. That would make them more vulnerable to wear and certainly affect the stability but they take when transporting Whatever little more space than other headphones. Also, I would have found it be nice if some sort Case had been there. I know those things are built to endure what but if you want it even stow cleanly, any shell would have been nice. They must also not make deliberately broken :).
Conclusion:
Anyone looking for a headset is top class in the processed sound, discreetly worn on every corner in the design and not by each and sundry as the Beats by Dre Solo HD (by the way, off worse in any of the above points, grossly overpriced and miserable is processed) ...
... Buying up the Philips / O'Neill The Construct headphones and will have a lot of fun with it.
