The belt itself makes at first sight a good impression, the build quality is good, in my opinion - what can be expected at this price range, too! The seams look very stable and I highly doubt that this will change in the near future.
One of the important points for me was that the camera remains safe to handle during a prolonged labor input and not getting on my neck.
In classical neck straps I miss this comfort too often, here it may even give alternatives that bring this convenience, however, I can not test this.
The attachment to the tripod thread was initially a sticking point which I faced once very suspicious to me, a camera with ca depends here yet 2kg weight off and dangles gently back and forth.
After initial distrust I have considered all the more closely to me, the method that is used by Blackrapid is actually very simple - but by no means bad solved.
At the "terminal screw" a mother is launched from which, relatively hard, soft rubber is given, the screw can be screwed into the tripod socket and are thereby drawn neat fixed without damaging the body - the easiest way to tighten the screw when the Carbine belt is hooked and you use this as a lever.
I have this, no more doubts that the screw dissolve (this requires 3.5 full turns to completely solve the thread) - Nevertheless, I prefer this before once again to, safety comes first here.
The actual carabiner on the harness like it very much, this has even avoid opening a screw to accidental - Very good!
The handling of the camera on the strap, and the up and down pull, I think is a simple but great solution for the camera to get ready to shoot very quickly, this idea is, however, not only Blackrapid reserved - other manufacturers offer this also.
Also much I love especially the fixing belt which passes under the arm and the belt brings significant stability, other belts do not offer this protection against slipping and then the belt hangs like times not as it should.
Although I'm also assuming that other Blackrapid belts include the great features, but not the protection against slipping.
My conclusion after the purchase and use of the belt is in any case that the purchase was worth it and a little annoys me not to have directly purchased such a belt.
I can harness these therefore a friend with a good conscience!
