I was able to test this battery case by EasyAcc for a few days.
It is particularly suited to traveling or during outdoor activities no longer to be 5 (5s) bound to the normal battery life of the iPhone.
By using such a battery case also has to accept some compromises to course.
In this case, the iPhone is a whopping 145 grams heavier. This extra weight I hold no longer (he) portable (in the truest sense of the word) for normal users.
The look of the iPhone is suffering course, since it looks much pummeliger through the shell.
Various audio plugs do not fit, because the audio-out has fallen very petite.
For but a handy little extension cable is included so that "Jack" can connect as of ClickTronic also easily fat. Whether one likes this solution is entirely up to you.
The main goal of purchase clearly a significantly extended duration are these disadvantages but more than compensated, because that this case is perfect neat.
It comes with the shell itself, a Micro-USB cable for charging, a handbook are (unfortunately only in English) and the already mentioned 3.5 audio adapter.
The back and the frame of the shell are made of a silky matt plastic, which hardly takes fingerprints and can look very sophisticated. Only the area below the Lightning connector is made of high-gloss plastic and is protected in the delivery with a slide.
The frame itself is bisected by the integrated stand function and with over a cm in my opinion much too thick.
I have noticed no chemical odors, which I always find important in those articles.
The installation is explained not particularly obvious.
You have to push on the frame a little frimmeligen switch slightly to the left initially above.
Then you can fold the upper frame to the front and slide the iPhone on the lower frame (where the Lightning connector is located).
Then you can close the upper frame until it clicks.
If you want to use the iPhone with stand function, you have to flip through the upper frame all the way forward until it is horizontal on the back on the shelf. The viewing angle is OK, but obviously can not be varied.
Practically, this function is yet, for example, in meetings or at your desk.
I noticed on the top frame top right a slight thickening / elevation with a visible gap.
Here apparently was not well executed.
The shell is loaded by the supplied USB cable, either at one (not supplied) USB charger or on a PC.
Charging for the envelope with the integrated 3000 mAh battery with a 1A output takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.
The iPhone itself is loaded when you press the push button on the bottom 3 seconds.
Here I see the potential danger this button accidentally pressing and enable such an undesired charging the iPhone, for example, in your pocket / briefcase.
That can certainly be better solved by a recessed button or a slider.
The button can also be used to activate the charge indicator. This is represented by 4 LEDs on the surface below the Lightning connector, each LED representing each 25% battery level.
But Unkar me is if I ever need to remove from this iPhone to load the envelope. This is not described properly. But I'm assuming that you can load both the shell and the iPhone via the microUSB port that is yes geswitcht within the envelope on the Lightning port. Here EasyAcc should sometimes give an indication in the FAQ.
With a fully charged battery the shell of 3,000 mAH an empty iPhone 5 can be charged theoretically twice.
So thus doubling nominally the term of the iPhones.
But I think that the 3,000 mAh, as with all Power Banks are not 100% but rather 80-85% ready.
All in all, I recommend this product caused when the primary goal is actually a duplication of the runtime. I can imagine this shell eg a useful product for sales representatives who travel on a non-permanent Outlet but always rely on the iPhone.
For this group of users I give 4 stars.
A "normal users" of the iPhone will probably not be happy with this envelope.
But it is too heavy, too chubby and frimmelig in the application.
Also unhelpful and only English This manual and the related uncertainties in the loading operation and a bit dirty processing tarnish the overall impression being too.
Unfortunately, I can therefore only give 3 stars.
If EasyAcc would identify the product clearly for the specific application, I will adjust the rating again.
I hope this review could assist you in your buying decision ...
