STAR WARS KINECT unfortunately meets the high expectations, but turns out to be quite the opposite as a fairly inconsequential collection of mini-games, which are playfully over slim majority and can really convince neither graphically nor with respect to the control. A friend said all this would somehow remind him of a kontemporäre version of the old "Rebel Assault", just a game in which one awaits with interest, which makes full of curiosity with the Star Wars license ... but what disappointed plenty playful. Unfortunately I have to agree this description.
Especially the lightsaber battles, was with which advertised a lot and probably everyone was eager to turn out after the first euphoria is gone, unfortunately, in a few minutes as a very flat ones matter, and ultimately you can make only a few movements - the way solves hectic to-be-around-waving without rhyme or reason almost every situation. Schade is also very easy in the knee control goes, when you do several movements in quick succession. The application of power, also an exciting idea is, unfortunately vergurkt similar. Too bad, because enormous potential would have been definitely all these game content.
Kinect shows other titles that the system is more powerful than what STAR WARS KINECT offers.
Surely, with a couple other players makes this game quite fun for a night out, and the very special feeling of far, far enfernten galaxy with all the classic sounds of course be doing Rest - until you have first seen and tried everything passes some time, and the game does have its interesting moments. In terms of atmosphere and flair has invested quite a bit, and at these points is particularly evident, the STAR WARS KINECT with a slightly durchdachterem gameplay a real blast could have been.
In conclusion, I must say that STAR WARS KINECT actually the kind of game is that you can borrow quite time for an evening out of the video store to their purchase but fair, I can not advise. Of course it is made solid in terms of mood and story, and I am also sure that some guests get shown in the coming days this game. But even as a pure party game, it is unfortunately too vague and playful too shallow in terms of control. A really well thought-out, entertaining game, at what you like to return again and again, I can not see in STAR WARS KINECT definitely.
Too bad - the idea would have had an enormous potential, but unfortunately the final product looks unfinished and just thought too little. I can not help noticing that there has probably been lacking here on fine tuning, because if I look at the game to me so I get the feeling that quite a lot of ideas have been incorporated here. Maybe would have made a very big difference here somewhat longer play Tests.
All in all: for single playthrough, for hard core Star Wars fans and younger Kinect fans a possible acquisition, but unfortunately a game that falls far short of its potential.
