Already the soundtrack and the outstanding effects provide optimum mental cinema, although the murders of Crowdens and their henchmen actually already sound very bizarre and brutal. In the long descriptions, the script writers have, however, omitted and left the grisly details the listener's imagination. And why not, after all, is here, too, the advantage of the radio play. So the narrator Jo Jung is also only used quite economical. Another advantage of the story is that besides Larry Brent and Ivan Kunaritschew another PSA agent is used, namely Klaus Thorwald, alias which was used not only in the Crowden trilogy only in another novel X-RAY-5. Speak the likeable German agent by Tim Knauer, who has unfortunately already spoken in the last episode a friend of Larry, namely PSA training manager Paul Mason. Since Mason in the series no longer exists and also the performances by Klaus Thorwald are limited, this Doppler is not quite so tragic. Especially since the speaker has a really catchy voice and makes excellent his cause. Like Jaron Löwenberg and David Nathan. Nathan is in his Russian accent the optimal successor to Henry King, who mimed the grumpy X-RAY-7 in the radio drama series in Europe. I think I mentioned it on several occasions. But one can not emphasize this enough, especially as Nathan's interpretation of Kunaritschew refreshingly apart from his role as Raven in the radio drama series FAITH Van Helsing.
Also starring Jürgen Thormann, Detlef Bierstedt, Alexandra Lange, Marius McLaren, Lutz Riedel and Wolfgang Strauss can be heard, which again has to serve as the villain here. A part he also too well satisfied.
The soundtrack ranges from threatening, booming basses, shallow sounds and brisk, rhythmic pieces, such as the intro.
The story is initially difficult to grasp and really smart you will not even at the end of the first part. But one is curious, however, what will happen next, and that is ultimately the most important thing. Since it also interferes in no way that Larry Brent and Ivan Kunaritschew occur quite late, but they can go right into the full. A thoroughly enjoyable radio play that leaves you wanting more. Highly Recommended!
