The included version of the converter snap fits thread with 52-62mm. The lens itself has a front thread of 49mm for Filter. Two guards and a sturdy plastic for safe transport and storage are also included.
Handling:
On a relatively small camera, the lens looks a bit clunky, but which hardly should play a role. Rather, the weight falls from 60g - significant. :)
The focusing range is enormously small at full telephoto. This makes it impossible to make adequate recordings "freehand". Here helps no image stabilizer. A tripod or a firm surface is required. It should also be photographed with remote release or self-timer, because the smallest change can be blurred the focus area (at least in full telephoto).
In wide-angle, it might take a lot of vignetting of the border areas. However, the increase is likely to be not much more than in the normal macro function of the camera to be themselves.
The camera's internal flash is not or hardly use because it comes through the intent to cast shadows. The closer the object, the stronger the shadows. An external flash or light sources are indispensable here. The best pictures in good light.
For some camera models, an adapter is needed to use the lens or lens with snap socket can. On the Raynox website can be seen in this regard available and many before / after photos more information.
The results with this converter are fantastic. Immerse yourself in a different, fascinating world. It is worth it!
