First finished mouse pads and movements require a certain place on his desk, here no laser calculates the movement, the ball is rotated on itself with the thumb to move the cursor. It works great and without jerking (unlike some laser mouse models).
The minimalist buttons are not very ergonomic compared to a standard mouse. The right and left click buttons are too narrow even for delicate fingers. Roulette is the classic Logitech but it is quite noisy as the two click buttons.
The wireless microsystem Logitech Unifying made in easy installation allows to connect up to 6 wireless devices (mouse / keyboard / keypads) via a single USB port: bluffing especially if you have multiple Logitech devices. Be careful though to use a recent version of the Logitech Setpoint software (minimum 6.20) otherwise it will not recognize the trackball and will not associate it with the Dungle.
Access to the battery compartment is very fast and you can store the wireless Dungle there with great ease (because fortunately very small, it is easy to lose). The scope of the wireless signal is very correct (tested to 4 meters). The autonomy of the AA battery is very long (18 months) and an on / off switch at the rear allows to further extend the autonomy (useful in case of prolonged non-use).
This Trackball M570 Logitech is a great product recommended for the perfect media center, a demonstration booth or for those with little space on their desk.
The points to be reviewed are:
- Unsurpassed finish especially on too loud, concise buttons
- Another system reserved for right handed, depriving 20% of the population left-handed
- The price too expensive, especially for product that has a taste of unfinished
Apart from that it is indispensable especially for those who like to surf in a bed or other non-flat surface. No need to mouse mats or books to balance, comfort is instant.
