- On such a trip you want to carry around as little weight with him. The Crocs are relatively light and can be mounted very well outside of the backpack (eg with small carabiners). Before buying, I have unfortunately found nowhere an indication of the exact weight. If there is anyone interested: In size 45/46 weigh both Crocs together 396g. Since the shoes do not absorb water, you have to take care not even in the rain drum when you have them outside attached to a waterproof backpack.
- Rivers with cold water and slippery rocks should not wade barefoot one. The Crocs lend themselves very well, because you flexible forward and back through the fold "bracket" behind the heel is no risk that they will be easily flushed from the flow from the foot. Even in everyday life is this "bracket" pretty handy. When it is folded forward, you can easily slip in and use it as flip-flops, if you need more support, you can fold back also. The sole is quite stable, so you have to have no fear, if you similar to sharp stones occurs. Since the shoes simply consist only of plastic, suck it up, no water and are quick dry again.
- You can also put the Crocs in hostels with sometimes a bit dirty showers wonderfully while showering.
- The shoes are very robust. They were used by me for six months almost every day outdoors on often stony / rocky ground, at temperatures of 35 ° and at temperatures of 0 °, rain or sun and they are still intact.
By now I am back in Germany. The Crocs have gone through it in recent months, but still look almost like new. Since my extended holiday so is over, I'm using it now just as slippers - for I find it also very convenient.
My Crocs are the way "made in China", but they do not stink and are also (despite use in gaudy heat and sun in summer) is not shrunk.
