In Windows 7 and Ubuntu 13:10 the Bluetooth adapter is recognized immediately and you can also use it the same.
With the range I am very satisfied and definitely enough to hear throughout the apartment with my Bluetooth Headset music.
Only the flashing of the LED's in a dark place possibly a bit disturbing, but the adapter one can easily back on the stand computer / notebook operate and does not stop flashing him.
