Razer Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse (optional)

Customer Review

To my new laptop with integrated Bluetooth was a new mouse. I bought on Amazon, the Orochi.

Important to me was a connection to the computer via radio technology was first secondary.
So no cable clutter, constantly rumfruckeln jacks if I want to go somewhere.
The already meager facilities of USB ports should not be permanently blokiert with any recipients also, whether micro or maxi receiver.
Secondary, but not unimportant, the opportunity was also to play with me. Negative experiences included in NoName products.
With these criteria, the choice is quickly quite narrow.

After several hours of research, I had the following mice based on the short list:
Microsoft BT 5000
Logitech M555b
Razer Orochi
Razer Mamba

The Logitech was from the outset (very good experience) my favorite.
This lead them ultimately playful entirely due to the change Mausradbelegung.
I use the middle mouse button continuously, and normally it already has anyway a software scrolling function.
Too bad, really a shame. That would have been my choice.
I saw the Logitech in conjunction with the Microsoft in the media market.
The Microsoft was, in spite of good reviews and features, too small, almost tiny. They therefore eliminated.
The Logitech contrast, had an appealing size, was well in hand. I appreciated than larger notebook or small desktop mouse.

Speaking of size.
One always reads only "little woman hands" "men's hands", etc. No real comparison is not it?
I've always wanted a reason here:
My hand is 20.5 cm long from the wrist, and without the thumb 9 cm wide.
At the moment I put on the Logitech RX250 rum (11.5 x 6 x 4 cm) I feel as comfortable as I can easily hang up there my palm.
On my desktop I have a slightly bigger Logitech which then also the last gaps on hand closes and fits like a glove.
The dimensions I have übrigends measured directly on the mouse, as here at Amazon partially wrong dimensions or of packages available.

The Mamba put me off because of the price, but ultimately because of the short battery life. Good thing was the ability to recharge the mouse to the USB cable.

The Orochi (9.8 x 6.5 x 3.8 cm) is slightly smaller than the above RX250, so I the palm just can hang so with her. The result is the effect they only want to push things around with his fingertips, but is now at the limit for the RX250.
The Orochi is however much larger than the pure Notebookmaus my girlfriend (8.5 x 5 x 3), so working longer fast is torture.
That is why I value the Orochi as the Logitech M555b than larger notebook or small desktop mouse. Working longer is in my hand size problem, but not optimal.

The design of the Orochi is really covered well, but not very good. It is symmetrical, so it should be suitable for right and left handers. When inserting the batteries (which would prove to be the way or abroad as an advantage, otherwise chargeable batteries) there was with me a positive aha experience for a sophisticated technical design of the cover sheet.
Among the key: The standard buttons and the wheel are optimally. WHILE the modifier keys can easily be reached on the thumb side, they are on the other side to the puzzle. Then use the Tastaur faster.
Overall, the additional buttons are placed too far inward and badly operated. Razor - pull a millimeter outside please!
Mainly, therefore, but also because the English heavy software, there are a total of me a star less. In a Nootebookmaus this price range I do not expect such a thing.
Needs improvement!
To Orochi there is a small Trasporttasche with a small separating plate the cable and mouse from one another. The size is just as sufficient to both stow easily.

That's the mouse over a versatile software programmable and these settings are stored in the mouse absolute class!
Negatives: Mostly English website and software. Poor description of the installation in both languages.
Bastelstunde and thinking along what happens!
Firmware Update mouse: .Net 2+ required. Need to install and have now about 100 MB on the disk useless.
Then left + right button + mouse wheel press (not roll). Plug USB cable starts the hardware detection of Windows and installed a F ... bootloader. Internet connection. Restart. Install, start and repeat keystroke procedure firmware. Only then does the Firmwarupdate.
Reminiscent of Windows 95/98, where you had to test dozens of times to install a driver.
I then only the software installed. Designation as a "Driver" - what my confusion causes.
Then ... finally - Selection of installation language German. The actual program is then completely in German. Positv.

Conclusion:
Who a pure gamer mouse with super handling / weight / etc. Addiction is not the place! It is a great notebook mouse!
Smaller hands than mine (for comparing I specially specified dimensions!), You can probably use but perfect.
For professional casual gamers and laptop owners this mouse is on the go but highly recommended. And for that she was taken.
No clutter, just turn it on and good, great configurable resolution, programmable keys.
If the Nootebook is stationary at home or for a desktop computer, I would take a different (radio) laser mouse.
The ability to control the whole then in software, Firmwarupdates (Power Save / response ..) and these settings, however, can be taken on other people's computers great and as a beacon for the future.
We deduct from me, as I wrote, for the bad software installation and too far inboard modifier keys.
For what I was looking for this mouse is perfect. I would buy me back.
