- Description bit poor.
The charger unit is fortunately quite compact, about half as large as the original Olympus, but a bit thicker. It is solidly built, I have to put any concerns loose in the bag. It comes only with a tiny Faltzettel who explains in German and English, the most important aspects. As hereinafter more questions, I found at Youtube a promotional video that explains more details. I link it in the first comment.
A connection cable for German outlets with Euro plug and a connecting cable for 12-volt Zigaretenanzünder in the car are also included.
Port-side the unit erweisst than miracle. It can per outlet of 100 to 240 volts, therefore, relate current world. Likewise, just about a car's lighter. Last is to charge by cell phone charger, a microUSB input. Thus, the device is very versatile, which is extremely helpful especially when traveling and on vacation.
In addition, the device has a USB type-A female whose purpose is not obvious and is not explained in the leaflet. Possibly provides the charger still the possibility of other devices by on-MicroUSB USB cable to load, I have not already tried, however, I want to destroy me no electronics.
Once the device is connected to the power, an LED is green, which is convenient to check about the correct position of the cigarette lighter cable in the car. Considering a battery, the formerly green LED turns red. This indicates that the battery is not full, is so loaded. Once the battery is full, the LED will return to green.
The device has incidentally just 2 contacts with the battery, the battery but even 5 contacts. However, this has no impact in practice.
During charging, the unit is at the bottom minimal warm, but really only minimal, I mention it only for completeness. The battery charges in about 3 hours, while not warm. I therefore of a very gentle charging.
The instrument loads both the original battery and this replica batteries without problems on fully. A difference with the original charger I could not tell. Therefore, the original will probably gather dust in the closet, the Patona is simply smaller and more flexible and will be used by me primarily.
Given the competitive price and bearing in mind that some mikrige description is very good to get over, especially since the main points are explained and yes only details such as LED missing. I therefore believe that the instrument for fully recommended, put it any camper with the OMD to heart and love to give full 5 stars.
