Conclusion: System seems matured, but you have to be aware that without the two enclosed smart card Nothing beats. One should have in your pocket, transport for safety reasons, of course, in the protective cover of the SSD and the second smart card should be kept in a safe place in case you lose the first smart card. Clean from her building, the security seems to be very high but I would still be careful with sensitive data and this may for example again: encrypt with TrueCrypt on the SSD.

I have the SSD with OSX Extended Journaled format, it works just fine.

The price is steep though but if the security concept works, it is certainly not too expensive.
