The assembly has certainly made problems during installation, because the fit is not right. The frame is a few tenths of a millimeter too wide - That sounds by little, but means that you (with a mounted disk) receives the frame only with a very large force into the housing.
Probably the fit size for the unpainted part has voted, the excess could of paint coating thickness correspond.
