Since the time we awaited second album Gotan Project! Lunatico remains in the same spirit as the first disk. Argentina and Piazzolla are still present. That said electro elements are more attenuated - or more subtly arranged to give greater fluidity to the whole. The vocal interventions are highlighted, already on the first album. The songs alternate between acoustic tracks recalling old times and modern pieces, which give the whole a beautiful unit, nostalgic, energetic and decidedly contemporary. I retain the superb 'Diferente at very dance-floor groove, bandoneon, piano and beautiful strings creating a perfect poetic and almost cinematic counterpoint, which is not without reminding them they had achieved remix of' Whatever Lola wants' Sarah Vaughan, himself inspired by the 'I've Seen That face before' Grace Jones, the latter being a word of Libertango by Piazzolla layout. The belt is buckled! The Gotan Project can be found their musical niche, but they remain the masters!
