Appearance:
Seen in a simple and classic design. What makes a big advantage for me (and still does) is to use in portrait mode. In this way you can see much more of the route that lies in front of a. The landscape is indeed a classic, but what interests me, what is off the track, where it the "Vorraussehen" is important?
Menus:
Since I had a little used to it. Here TomTom has left its mark on me. But that has nothing to do with Garmin etc.. The menus are fairly basic and simple kept. Settings are made quickly, clearly and clearly formulated.
Navigation display:
Here you can choose between several primary colors. But these are very similar strong. The cockpit variants (view of the speed, time, Km goal, etc) are sufficient. Everyone should find here an illustration like a.
Navigation:
Finding the satellite is very fast here. In my navigation inserts this lasted barely 20 to 30 sec. The objectives were (due to the always current cards) always found (new residential areas, etc).
Before start here you have the possibility to display various routes. They are sorted by time, kilometers and fuel consumption. Also you can adjust the menu if eg highways or toll roads to be avoided. Or sets with a few simple steps that certain areas or roads should be avoided. Very convenient.
The voice of "Steffi" (with street name announcement) sounds neat and should be understood in any car. A slightly tinny sound is still vorthanden.
"Marie" with no street name announcement I find enjoyable and forth from the speaker slightly "cleaner".
Private:
The suction cup is simple, small and hold the bomb. Mounting on the disc in seconds. In the charging cable and the TMC receiver is included. Thus, the use of two cables required.
CONCLUSION:
I can only recommend this Navi. It is simple, fairly robust and does what it should do. The portrait is a cool thing for me personally. All updates are working and after installation / application on the PC that runs perfectly. For this price a buy recommendation! ! !
ADDENDUM:
I have received a complete map update for the first time today. The download was approximately 4 hours at DSL 3000 quite long but it is indeed pulled down quite a bit. After the update I was told by the program, I would just need a microSD memory card because the fix is too large for the internal memory. So off to the nearest electronics store and a worried (! MicroSD memory card with a maximum of 4GB, because the device does not detect more!). Starting in the slot in the device and the LifetimeUpdater it installed the card. Again about 20 minutes. No problem, worked ...
