I use the console together with VirtualDJ 7 Home Free (is more extensive than the included VirtualDJ DJC Ed and with a trick that can be found in appropriate forums, the Home Free version will retain its settings over their 10min-limit,) and I have to say which work very well together. While this all comes together with WinXP but to get the full parallel use of various sound card drivers, you should be better work with Windows 7. (About the use in conjunction with a Mac, I can not comment)
Although the Mic / Head jacks and their control on the front are a vinous awkwardly positioned for tilting, but if you put the console on a slightly increased base this is not a problem.
Moreover, you can all buttons, controls and jog wheel on a MIDI patch Allocation Map, ie assign them other functions. Many programs (tractor, Mixvibes etc.) who work with the console is even a "learning program" for these associations doing, so that even "non-programmers" be able to handle.
All in all:
I'm excited ...
