The Intriebnahme goes smoothly equip. Cutting to the basket and off you go. The cutting is quite massive. You can tell right on the relatively high weight.
It makes a very solid impression and you might think, therefore to be able to chop wood;)
Paper goes through like butter. Even 12 sheets are absolutely no problem. I usually throw purely 8-10 leaves, depending on the thickness of the paper.
Credit cards, etc. are of course not a problem either.
Thanks to the cross section are the shredded documents / maps / etc. virtually unrecoverable. Because you'd have to be an expert or bring much boredom and time.
On the one hand because of the above reason, on the other hand with the fact that the basket is less quickly, since the paper is shredded better than strip-cut devices I would prefer a cross-cut shredders.
Some CD's I have now destroyed. The device thus does not wear out his strength. Chill CD's better go through as a 10 pages thick pile of papers.
With overheating I have so far not had any problems. Although I must say that we now do not have to dispose of the masses of recovered paper as a private home, as it possibly could be in an office of the case.
Thanks to the power inherent in the device, also slightly larger waste paper collections are certainly shredded in a short time.
Disadvantages, because if one so wishes:
- As seen on a User picture, paper remains in the cutting unit "stuck". I can confirm that. It also does not get pulled out all because the cutting, as described above, is simply too massive. It does the function of the device but also no harm. That's why I see the best will no disadvantage that could have an impact on the overall standings.
- As already written in other reviews, there is no separate collecting container for CD's. The land to the paper in the basket, if so, what's in it. Who uses the instrument as I (90% paper, 10% CD's), which will be the relatively unimportant. The few times a year to empty the tank just before the CD's come in. Who is more likely to use from 50/50, which should possibly attract another device into considerations when clean separation of paper and plastic is to be given.
For longevity, I can not give any information. Should something go wrong, I will add my review in that respect.
But what definitely is a pity is that it is a one year warranty on the device are "only". Personally, I always think that there should be no problem but to give the usual 2 years or even 3 years, to stand out positively, if one is convinced of its products.
All in all, an absolute powerhouse, which is an uncommon help especially in household or a one-man office.
