Convincing TV from 2013

I have left a long time with the purchase of a new TV time and a lot of research. Due to the negative reviews bezügl. the image properties of the current Pana TV generation, I have again looked at the models from 2013. Already last year I flirted with the L55WTW60, which emerged in the video magazine as the winner and on the leaderboard still is high. After a local Expert dealer had the unit for 1690 euros a sell-off deal, I slammed. In addition, I wanted the guarantee extension to 5 years of Panasonic secure (promotion ends on 12.7.).

The structure in conjunction with the stable foot is easy. It requires a second person only to maneuver the flap the panel into the bracket at the bottom.

The establishment of the TVs was automated using very explanatory on-screen menus. The Internet connection via LAN cable was easy. I use the TV in conjunction with a cable connection and have currently only two HD channels. But from a good four feet away the image of SD channels is still good to look very good and even with old footage. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Combined with HD channels, the picture is of course top sharp, bright and decorated with soothing colors, whereby one must naturally find his personally pleasant settings. (Tip: Compared with the remote control allows the free smartphone / tablet app "Panasonic TV Remote 2" the more direct access to the settings!).
Image error I could not find any so far. Even in text-treadmills and rapid camera movements and of pan I can not see any ghosting - we were able yesterday to enjoy the World Cup match against Brazil twice the Germans. :-))
In connection with my Pana Blu-ray Player DMP-BDT500 the picture is just awesome and already in 2D mode and Depth.

The sound I've run in "Ambieten" mode with natural Sourroundeinstellung and enhanced bass. Look for the normal TV which is fine for me - again I was pleasantly surprised. For a real cinema / movie experience I use my surround system that is connected to the optical cable to the TV.

The integrated media player (MP), I use mainly to watch me archived films. In making forums was to read that the MP can represent any folder structure. That's right, definitely not (more?). However, the view is a bit strange. My Icybox-Media Player, the improving ways.
A besückte 90% 1TB disk is within max. 15 seconds is read. Is pleasant, that can be all the movies in a mini-window (tile structure) show preview. The navigation via remote control is quick. Very good, I find that you fast-forward and rewind while watching a film and even can jump to specific places. All key formats are played (previously tested: mp4, wmv, avi, mkv, flv). In the music of Pana also accepts FLAC files.

Access to the Internet is good, though not as fast as on a PC. I've been in the ARD / ZDF Mediathekten films watched (Full Screen). However, sometimes you need to bring some patience until the film runs. (I have a 25.000 Cable BW-line).
The "free surfing" however is only comfortable if you use a wireless or Bluetooth keyboard.

The selection of usable APPs is not that great, but I had not expected this. Most of all I miss a Amazon APP order movie streaming. Skype works with the built-in camera well.
The necessary firmware update went smoothly and quickly.

Super I find the possibility to stream the TV program on a tablet, and the possibility of using built-in twin tuner to watch two programs at the same time (multi-window).
The recorder I have not tested, because to a separate hard drive is required (the Pana formatted this disk in its own format). Derzei I use a hard disk receiver as a recording device.

After the first four days I have to say:
A top TV, the visually so far fully convinced me. However, one must incorporate something and sometimes in the Full Manual Look (only in pdf) in the functions and settings.
The pity is that only 3 HDMI ports are available - a fourth, I could have still need ;-)
Deduct half a star rating I'd only for the media sector (little available apps) in conjunction with the somewhat awkward touchpad Handling (LG can with the free "pointer" better! However, Panasonic also supplies a full remote control.).

Addendum 10.7 .: The recording function via USB 3.0 hard drive (Intenso Memory Home, silver, 1 TB) works perfectly. The start and end times of the shots can be adjusted as needed.
