The Canon SC-dC65 resembles a contingency bag of 60s and 70s of the last century. As with the models, the fixation between the camera and bag via the screwing in a robust metal wheel pocket in the tripod socket of the camera.
As the name "carrying case" in the last paragraph says: The Canon SC-dC65 wants its PowerShot G11 / G12 not only safely package, but at the same time keep in recording standby. So can you take pictures without the bag to store all. After opening a large push button on the bottom of the bag can be the top fold back.
After opening two lateral press studs can be the top of the camera (with front) Remove all. It remains as a useful component of protection to the camera. That's how I got my SLR cameras used most like in earlier times. A negative point is that you have to remove the bag completely, if you want to remove the memory card or the battery from the G12.
The leather of the Canon SC-dC65 is padded and gives the impression that the camera so that sometimes even can survive the occasional bump or fall without prejudice.
* My Opinion: The SC-dC65 Canon is ready case in retro style. In particular, in the brown variant is the clearly over. Not everyone will like the brown appearance. But I think it's great that Canon offers such accessories. Thus the noble Powershots get adequate cover.
Note: The brow model of this bag (Canon SC-DC65D) costs currently (July 2012) less than one-third of otherwise identical black variant (Canon SC-DC65A). That's a strange pricing policy.
