Since I live on the top floor and it is like to over 30 degrees Celsius in the summer, I was looking for an inexpensive air conditioner.
This device works as follows: There is a normal fan, which is adjustable in 3 steps. Under this fan a container of cold water and the supplied ice packs is to be filled. A pump pumps this water to a sponge which is located behind the fan. The water then passes over the entire area back to the reservoir.
Big advantage is the additional filtering and humidification of indoor air. Of course you can not expect the same cooling capacity as with a permanently installed air conditioning at this price.
My 20sqm large room has become noticeably more comfortable on the temperature here after about one hour of operation. On hot days, I turn the unit before going to sleep one, so you can spend the night until the morning in a nice chilled room :)
Caution: The tank should not run empty as this could damage the pump. Good ad front, where you can check the water level always. The castors on the device, you can also push away the vacuuming this example, sometimes fast.
