Isabelle Geffroy first album, called 'Zaz', this album includes 11 songs including 3 Raphael ('The Fairy', 'Port Coton' and especially of course 'Dazzled by the night'). If the husky voice of this young singer does not hit your ears, you'll have lots of fun to share with her beautiful songs sung mostly on gypsy jazz rhythms, trumpet imitated voice and scat extra. My favorite are the rhythmic 'I want' and 'Along the road', plus 'The Fairy' for his original universe and 'In my street', a realistic song written by Jacques Datin in 1946 for the great Edith . But the CD-title song is obviously 'Dazzled by the night' with his torn voice and guitars 'raphaëliennes': this is one of those songs that one has the impression of having always known that immediately penetrate our brains never to leave them; if you liked 'I took my time' by Jean Schultheis or 'Place my way' Maxime Le Forestier or some songs of Alain Bashung for example, you'll love 'Dazzled by the night'!
