After I made the TOEFL today and I was prepared, among others, with this book, I want to briefly give my opinion: - Content: too many repetitions and unnecessary! Most of the strategies are not really innovative. Some will help, but the majority know each by itself, if it has common sense. This tome slays her from a scope, but he could really be extremely shortened! You can, however, which types of tasks when off come from and what is expected. But this knowledge can also use fewer readings well acquire. - Exercises: the level here (as well as by the "Offical Guide to the New TOEFL IBT" book) way too easy! Had the Reading and Listening almost always get it right in the numerous exercises that I have done to prepare. The level in the actual test, unfortunately, today was quite different. I have prepared myself well with the book of Kaplan plus CDs and were a little more difficult as the Cracking the TOEFL tasks, I would prefer the book of Kaplan. A complete test on CD would also have been desirable in this book (not just a printed plus audio files on CD).
In summary: There is in my opinion better books to prepare. The level of exercises is too low and the content too much (too many repetitions, too much obvious).
