The band has really grown. While it lacks the above-mentioned hits that go on first hearing ear, you can hear the disk but several times it is noticeable that not a single song on the album is bad.
Also hardly one sounds like the other. Although the CD needs as I said a little time until one has heard pure, for it is then all the more powerful.
In particular, the diversity of the panel knows how to convince. Because there are songs like As I Please, which therefore come to the club and remember old Beatsteaks songs. When we give ourselves a bit of effort, but can hear all sorts of other influences in the other songs. Be it radio, ska or pop. Since the eighth track "She was Great" almost sounds a bit like _Justin Timberlake, without being silly. The 10, "Hail to the Freaks" reminded me personally even on Snow Patrol and his associates.
All in all a good all-round board which needs some starting time, but then can boast properly. 5 stars if it were I would be a sixth. The Beatsteaks prove easy to experiment and provide you definitely versatile, but perhaps their best album from. Negative is the small runtime of just over 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the drive is worth every euro. Buy!
