The TP-LINK kits are known for their moderate prices but sometimes a speed lower than the competition.
Here, it is far from being the case: the flow rate is more than correct.
Thus, the lab of a renowned computer magazine obtained the following measure:
Maximum flow (optimal conditions): 86 Mbps, or 10.8 MB / s
Flow when both adapters are remote: it was 69.5 Mbps (8.7 Mb / s).
Use flow rate "normal": 75.9 Mbps (9.5 MB / s)
That said, the best 500Mbps adapters offer a rate of about 90 Mbps.
Does this mean the sulking this kit? I think not: in a majority of cases, the flow will be more than enough. We appreciate the ease of implementation and the included software and the integrated electrical outlets. We regret that we can only connect the down, other adapters, such as Netgear XAVB5401-100FRS Pack 2 Powerline Ethernet Powerline 500 Mbit / s with integrated Nano Socket
Technically, and compared to competition, it would deserve 4 * but I note 5 * in view of its price / quality ratio.
