Lifehouse have evolved, quite clear. Where 'No Name Face' something schnörkerloser oriented to the virtues of Nu Rock, is 'Stanley Climbfall' melodic and playful. The Perfect Voice of Jason Wade (still just sprung from the Teenager ... - incredible) meets the Guitars of Creed and Nickelback ... (and the whole also like people that on 'The Calling' or 'Matchbox 20' stand ...) The MTV / VIVA-Heavy Rotation decoupling 'spin' (wow ...!) Leads there rather still on old paths, but already the second piece 'Wash' shines with a catchy chorus. And so we will drive ... This may deter fans of straight Rocks more and let demonize than turning to the commercial - on the other hand I like it totally and therefore come to the conclusion: 'STANLEY Climbfall' is my personal rock favorite for 2002 (despite the fact that the high standard of the first album half in the second part can no longer be kept quite - another surprising parallel to 'NNF'). Jason Wade urges his incredible voice often to the last, creating an incredibly intense atmosphere in some pieces. (I've got the boys in November 2002 seen live in Hamburg - there is nothing purely incidentally mixed in the vocals, so that sounds just as the guy has been really gifted and has also still damn lot of charisma ....) So, my Anspieltips: Spin (logical!) Wash, Sky Is Falling, Out Of Breath, Take Me Away.
