Main game (story), RAID mode and Extras:
By controlling of 2 protagonists in each episode (there are 4 episodes) - it is the part of Claire & Moira or with Barry & Natalia - is the protector instinct out something. I write something deliberately, because the AI (as far as I have experienced so far) can not die. Sometimes the AI even thinks really well with, for. Example by means of a flashlight to hide afflicted with Moira and the AI (in the form of Claire) performs a melee attack. Sometimes, however, this is also bad and the AI just stands around. But luckily the implementation managed by the switch between characters and thus present integration of both protagonists in the game (similar Barry & Natalia) in my opinion better than in Part 4, where Ashley Graham (only AI-controlled) just annoying and as a perceived 40kg metal block, chained to Leon's feet, looked.
The story is to be settled in the central level, as it takes unexpected turns in some places and unfortunately sometimes looks predictable or illogical. Further work to make dialogue very sinnfrei, but other very deep and full of emotion - but that was in my eyes never Capcom's strength.
Due to the two bonus episodes (each about 45 minutes extra gameplay with Moira & Natalia), which provides the retail version, the whole story is very well rounded package. Furthermore, the two bonus episodes for Moira and Natalia provide two additional costumes which fit well in my opinion better than the other alternative costumes. After all, who has taken the standard clothing Claire and Moira attracts rodeo outfit or the city-ninja costume indeed something for the eye (the buttocks of Claire, who wants to eat the hot pants, Capcom has good job), however, it acts in a horror game rather ridiculous - just like Natalia's alternate costume, which includes a school uniform or something to represent and a toy bear Bommel has. So you can play the horror Feeling definitely not lose weight. Only Barry's alternative costume looks very heroic and fortunately brings the retail version, the bonus episodes and has for Moira & Natalia 3 costumes to choose from, where Moira survivors costume fits very well to the atmosphere and Natalia black dress makes them look even more mysterious. I hope this still, that it is also still provide a good alternative costume for Claire.
Overall, the story playing time is about 7-10 hours - depending on playing style.
The additional modes such as Invisible mode or Time mode can / must be the main game but (if one is chasing alongside zombies even trophies) by playing at least 3 times.
Furthermore, there is within the main game to gain also tasks for medals and thus obtain Bonis. So if you want to only fixed on the main Kampange and play through all the medals and modes probably comes to about 30 - 40 hours of gameplay, and that's for a game, for that price completely OK.
Who then has more time and sometimes needs a shooter, can let off steam in RAID mode. The retail version provides 2 additional game characters and histories Map Pack. In addition to Wesker (the top supervillain with an impact force of 100 men, oh what I write because there - 1,000 men) was also Hunk (Umbrella Security Service combat soldier and my personal favorite because it represents the oppressive situation most likely) included. Here you can live it up and send mutated in the happy hunting grounds. Unlike Revelations 1, each character must be leveled for themselves (up to level 100) and also here each character has their own abilities, which can be funded through earned skills Punke here however. Furthermore, skills other character to any character can be transferred. This accessibility I personally find very good, as you can so shape his character individually. In Raid Mode even there this time a maximum of Monster display, so you do not have to guess whether already really are all dead or not. Also there is here again to upgrade weapons and to find new and better weapons. However, if you die and you have to revive / wants a blue crystal life is consumed. It starts with 10 pieces available, which can be replenished by daily emissions further, however. The problem may be, if you're not so talented and at the end has no more blue crystals, but do not feel like crystals farms. But Capcom has built a micro-transaction system and you can buy red crystals life for real money in the PSN Store. What can I say. At least Capcom has regulated such that it is not necessarily dependent on it, and only for financially well-heeled life mortality characters is necessary. Otherwise, I see the more critical look at the micro-transactions. Because if I buy a complete game, I do not expect micro-transactions. But money rules the world. Still better than the virus out of the game.
Furthermore, you can start off on the split screen, in the main Kampange and in RAID mode, a co-op game. This is also necessary for some trophies (z. B. Razor), because the AI there can not understand or want that Episode 1 is to be played only with the knife. What I find unfortunate is that the online co-op is not there (yet). Although I know that Capcom wants REPLACE this, but I find it a pity that this is not right from the beginning (for whatever reason) is not there. Yet a possible co-op is of course very cool and you can hit a couple relaxing at home by trying zombie apocalyptic world.
Graphics:
It should be noted that is the graphics engine apparently still the old, which does not, however, must be to the disadvantage, because it creates a stale effect. And I doubt that diehard zombie-hunters are graphic fetishists. There are many dark corners in the game and at the beginning even 1-2 shock moments, where you also have to scare a little (I at least, followed by internal laughter)., Which is also reinforced by the oppressive atmosphere However, it can be seen in the main game for my taste a lot of blood and I was wondering how the FSK could share the game with FSK 16. Because if you then on Resident Evil 1 (18) recalls. Well, I'm not the G and I am over 18 and everyone is old enough ... is just my personal opinion, and perhaps for one or the other relevant.
Audio, text output and control:
At least if you listen instead of the German, the English audio track. The German dubbing is really creepy and will play title Resident Evil absolutely fair. Therefore recommended to the English language edition and German subtitles to play (here you have at least something to follow the feeling the protagonist emotionally and who the English is not powerful - also because the translations are sometimes questionable - can read the German subtitles). Furthermore, as is, of course, "Resident Evil 1" feeling on - the very experienced bioterrorist-hunters among you know what I mean.
The menu I find a clear and structured and orderly and the manual will also explain the control - which is incidentally learned situationally even with game introduction, since the control is slightly different than in Resident Evil Revelations 1, but in no worse or better. The controller is just different, but also as previously, not provided with the legendary keyboard shortcuts. Different but plausible and easy to learn. I especially appreciate that the Dodge was relieved that more was agony in Revelations 1.
Pros:
+ Atmosphere / creepiness
+ German text output (menu)
+ All DLCs are already available on the disc (bonus costumes, extra episodes, 2 Raid mode characters, historical maps Pack)
+ Game Internal Challenges
+ Long-term motivation
Neutral:
# Graphics
# Story
# Gameplay / Control
# Partial ridiculous costumes
Cons:
- German language edition
- German text output (main game)
- Micro-transactions
- Lack of online co-op mode (even if this is to be submitted)
Conclusion:
Taking into account all points Capcom linked successfully to Resident Evil Revelations 1. Only the introduction of micro-transactions is preparing me for the future, in addition to the poor German language edition, worry. Graphics lagging behind yet, but I think that just have that.
In its entirety, I can to the best of its knowledge and belief awarded 4 out of 5 stars and recommend everyone to buy, the fan of the series is or has with Resident Evil Revelations 1 found its entry into the RE universe or only on the RAID mode new Zombie Slayer will be.
I explicitly point out that this is my personal opinion and that this does not have to agree with other opinions.
Who finds spelling mistakes may keep them.
dit: I originally had 4 stars so now only one. Reason there is in episode 4 of Barry & Natalia a fat bug. Here Natalia Barry needs help on a computer, but it appears no action button o. Ä .. Since one can not be stuck back there. Neuspielen the story, Neustrat, costume changes, co-op, etc. Nothing helps. One does not come through the circular door and the game can simply just do not end. Something may not happen in a final game and I'm not the only one whom it may concern, I would like to ma 0 stars awarded. That was probably the last Crapcom game.
