What can I say? I was almost unable to breath as I read the book, it just caught me from the first moment. At first I thought this would be just another superhero comic book [looking at the cover, you might see my point! P], but this time it was quite different. Allan Moore is One Of These Gods of storytelling, spinning tales, whichwill entrance you. I really love the his style in this book, he has the talent to find a new and exciting way of storytelling, Especially by Carefully choosing the point of view. I really like the hero (Tom Strong) and the way his whole family is involved in his actions. There Is No Secret Identity or the likes just Tom Strong, his wife, daughter, of extraordinary ape butler and a pneumatic robot. As every other superhero he has some villains who try to kill him every now and then. Even through the first books you get the impression thatthey have a background (Moore used flashbacks and the likes to achieve this ...) and a very personal grudge with Tom and some of them got really old and bitter (now Punisher effect here) , This book is not (and will not) be another dark mood comicbook like Watchman (ie from Alan Moore), it is more in league with (no pun intended) the "League of Extraordinary Gentleman", but none of thesis Could replace the other and did shows off Moore's talents. By the way Both comic books are therefore a must read.
