The lid can be easily opened by pushing and the hard disk has to be inserted only in the SATA connector - screws are not necessary. For operation with USB3.0 power a 2.5 "hard drive or SSD also usually is not a problem when used with USB2.0, the maximum current consumption of 500mA, however, be exceeded.
A power switch is not present in USB but not absolutely necessary.
The device is detected as ASMT 2115 USB Drive and works under Windows without a separate driver installation.
The transfer rates are as directly operated with my test disk largely with SATA.
The product was left to me for free for testing by the supplier. My rating is unaffected.
