The notebook is for current games in the native resolution of 1280x800 partly already too slow when considering the graphics options, however, reduced to "medium", include top titles such as Colin Dirt or Two Worlds still run acceptably. One reason could be the built-in Acer DDR2 Ram be in the graphics card. Other manufacturers are already using DDR3 (eg Asus), are then also correspondingly expensive.
The display reflects very strong. Outdoors it is still readable even in darker lighting conditions only in "high" -Energieprofil. In space, it is perfectly okay.
Unfortunately, the keys on the touchpad do not fit to the otherwise generally very high-quality impression of the notebook. With a loud, unestätischen "clack" any press is confirmed and there is quite a bit of pressure needed at all to trigger a click. In addition, the keys are slightly high on my device. That seems cheap.
Apart from the above detail weaknesses but I am very happy with the notebook and it would still recommend it. The battery life is compared to other notebooks of this performance class very well, the processing apart from the touchpad very high. The keyboard I certify a "very good", the writing feeling is very pleasant and the "chic" layout does not hinder writing.
In addition, the notebook harmonizes very well with Linux. Debian Etch was running right away. Network is working, the burners can be used, the NVIDIA driver can be installed (as opposed to the reference drivers from NVIDIA under Windows) and even the touchpad is on the usual key combination on / switched off. Whether the other special keys or the card reader function, I have not tested.
