The advantages and disadvantages:
POSITIVE
+ Dimensions
The most important purchase criterion was the size, namely in so far that the unit should be as compact as possible. To my knowledge there are currently no buying compact 4in smartphone.
The HTC Desire is about the size of an iPhone 4 (S). It is 3mm higher and 4mm wide and exactly the same thickness. The Desire is a little thinner but before as it is rounded.
For me personally, the dimensions of the Desires are the absolute limit perhaps the manufacturers are coming up sometime times on the funnel 3,7 or build 4Zoll smartphones with top class facilities. Apple makes it before
+ Processing
Fits comfortably in your hand and a quality image. The glass snowing to be quite thick, since the entire chassis is extremely rigid. The back looks when they degrade somewhat soggy because to do that but very rarely, it did not bother me.
+ Andriod
If most readers certainly clear, but for me as transfer passengers it was important that you can get used well. After 3-4 days it has come to terms and experienced the benefits of surface, menu navigation and settings. Moreover, everything is working smoothly.
+ Battery
Currently I pendulum so betw. 36 and 48 hours. Despite the initial intensive use. 1650mAh are just a decent value in this class.
+ Price
In my opinion, a great price / performance ratio
NEUTRAL
+/- Display
So do compared to an AMOLED display is indeed hard all LCDs. So also here. Contrast and colors were even better on my Nokia. However, it is in the field of LCDs which so far I could see with friends and colleagues really good. The resolution of 800x480 is enough for 4in, but none is likely to be less appropriate.
+/- Memory
1GB available internally for apps available. However, since I use an additional SD card and many apps also be saved automatically on the SD card I see currently is not a problem. Photos, music, videos etc. comes anyway to the SD card.
NEGATIVE
- Notification LED
Lights for missed calls and messages only 5min. Duration can not be changed, presumably to save battery. But past developed at the practice for me.
But there are probably apps with which you can optimize.
- Only 5 home screens
With great widgets (calendar, e-mail, weather, etc.) are the fast.
- No Compass
You need not constantly, but sometimes is quite nice (pedestrian navigation etc.). Is not entirely clear why HTC waived me here on something.
CONCLUSION
Overall, I can get over the negative points. So that is why there should be no deduction of points.
So who is similar priorities in the above points, can the HTC Desire X easily access.
- [FIX] -
For Notification LED:
Somehow, the notification LED appears to flash but longer. This morning they took me to the entrance of an email with a green flashing pointed about 3 hours.
- [Update2] -
After 4 months in continuous use, there are no real problems to report.
No incidents or similar. Although I do not use bags or foils, the display has no scratches and the back also looks passable.
Battery performance is Ok! The long-term statistics of the app "Battery Widget Reborn" says that 100% Battery for 1 day and 15 hours range, which (depending on use of course) is also true in some.
