Customer Review

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first part of the all over the world known trilogy "The Lord of the Rings" written by the Harvard linguistic mastermind John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. Admittingly I have never been a real fan of fantasy work but after having seen the film I could not wait a second longer to read the book behind. After having done so i can truly admit That every person who has not read this book yet absolutely captivating, has missed a very important part of literature Which goes hand in hand with CS Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia ". Starting with Bilbo Baggins' 111th birthday party the story soon moves on to the actual main part, the finding and destroying of the One Ring of Power. Together with Frodo, Bilbo's heir, 8 Companions, Consisting of different tribes of Middle Earth as Elves, Hobbits, Men and Dwarves, decide to dare the treacherous journey to the Land of Mordor where the dark lord Sauron has awoken in shadow. The reader finds himself in a different world completely Call, absolutely convincing in its detail and true feelings and will soon go on to the successor "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King". For the majority of readers who after all desire more information of the whole surroundings, JRR Tolkien has created several books around, starting with "The Hobbit" (The Story of Bilbo), "The Silmarillon" (The History of Elves and Men) and "Unfinished Tales" (For the restless readers) as well as "The History of Middle Earth" (finished by his son Christopher Tolkien).
Having read the book within 3 days I am fully Convinced That It truely belongs to this century's most important literature.
