This is the third book I read Barjavel. It's still pretty amazing and dramatic!
I much preferred "Night of the time."
Here the story takes place in a future of humanity today. The nature does not exist, everything was transformed and sanitized. Humanity is trying to find a "cure" for war. A young scholar filled genius will find and almost all of humanity will change behavior ... But the events of 15 years Judith remains etched and a sentence will resurface and change everything.
The story is also very special because its main character is not the most endearing. His detachment towards humanity is quite impressive. It's like he was out of the story: it finds and acts.
The heroine, meanwhile, could be endearing, but do not act according to the will of the player! It also exists as independently from the pen of the author!
The story could be adapted for the screen by its spectacular aspect of end times. A science fiction that is readable but, for me, was down a notch compared to the first book already cited and "The great secret."
