Since I do a lot with old computers (old PCs, Atari, etc.), I fiddle too much with floppy rum. However, neither my stationary PC, nor my laptop has a floppy drive, so I needed a USB drive. Unfortunately, I made the mistake to take up one of the low-models, but which I feel that 99% of the drives are always identical and only another label stuck on it. The disillusionment came quickly anyway: Read Apart 1.44MB / high-density disks, the drive can pretty much nothing. Write / format often does not work because the drive falsely claiming the disc is read-only - what is not natural. Much worse, however: 720KB / DD floppy drive can not read or describe, although an HD-drive has to be backwards compatible with DD disks, only this probably not. Thus the drive for me is more or less useless, because I depend eg for data exchange with an Atari ST to DD disks.
