No comparison to the high-quality, thoughtful old version. Apparently everything just yet weight-optimized and cobbled together with hot needle. Sorry, really a shame.
significant changes:
- Longitudinal handle up missing, but 2 side straps -> bad to wear in the hand
- No more 1 wrap-around zipper with 3 sliders but only 2 slider -> opening is more difficult
- Safety clip for Sling subjects missing
- Strap webbing has become narrower
- D-rings missing
- Hip belt is missing, padded rest ends are shorter. H-Tragegurtführung falls flat
- In X position Gurtpolterende suppresses nuisance to the sternum
- Belt clip have become smaller, raise no particular confidence and are more difficult to operate
- In the fold but is still a point of attachment for tripod mounting
- Large-scale Velcro Velcro for the interior layout -> variable
- New tripod mount with 2 small foot straps gives no confidence
- Old tripod mount fits still; bottom easily attachable to loops, top with auxiliary ring. Threading is the simple DL
- Trolley-holder no longer with elastschem tissue of back padding but only by simple, thin belt
- Back cushions no longer ergonomically shaped
- Small items bag in Daypackfach missing
- Eingeklettetes Case missing (hand Sale?)
Quality: I have doubts about whether the old quality is still maintained. When used item the seam of the zipper between daypack and photo compartment has risen. The zipper is longer than the circumference of the opening; Radical ugly into daypack, looks fudged.
In conclusion, I must say that I am very disappointed. Which Vollpfosten has since driven up to mischief in the development department?!?!? The successor product so much worse than the old. The street price of around 100, he may just be worth the published list price of about 190, but by no means. I have the impression that the great details are now subject to the overpriced PL series.
The 3N1-33DL I have returned. The old 3N1-20 is now but not (yet) verklopft and I think about exactly in which inserts sufficient. Current replacement for all the equipment on the road is now the Tamrac Evolution 9, the same moves from the equipment with the old Kata 3N1 or overtaken him. A review for the Tamrac I deliver when I have him long enough in use.
Please note: My previous accolades in all sorts of portals and forums on the Kata 3N1 refer explicitly to the old version 3N1 without suffix DL!
For Star Rating: 1 Star for size. Quality, comfort and Aussattungdetails are pros vs. DL version so much worse that I have to pull smooth 4 stars.
