Huion H610 Pro Graphics Tablet Pen Drawing Tablet (8 Express keys and 16 hot cells) (Electronics)

Customer Review

I am for some time in search of a new tablet and have previously known and used only the Wacom Tablets. Well I thought that for my use a Wacom tablet Profile something seems overpriced and I want to give the cheap alternatives a chance. No sooner said than done, and after many viewings review I have decided for the Huion H610 Pro. This tablet is as adequate alternative for Wacom Bamboo or Intuos (not Pro) series touted. Okay, sounds good and for 77 euros you can not so much go wrong (the Intuos Pen & Touch M costs 160 euros - but didnt touch control).

Well, denkste!

But we come first to the good points:

The Chinese manufacturer offers Huion H610 Pro in a good construction quality of (being from outer forth the Turcom Tursion TS-6610H similar) and with attractive performance data. I was surprised that the case seemed really stable and did not look like a cheap plastic scrap. The performance and the feedback between movement of the stylus and the cursor were excellent (except for the problems listed below).

Unfortunately, that's it.

First the little quirks:

Who comes up with clear buttons on black background look like? After a short usage could with the buttons the underlying symbols no longer recognize, because the fingerprints were prominently reflected by the reflective buttons (light source is with me just above the "key range" - should I now rebuild my desktop so that it for the tablet matches?).

But now the big fish:

1) The pen tip wobbles and sags. This one loses when you lift the pen directly feel when you're back on your tablet with the tip.

2) The spring pressure is linear in any way. Say: It has little scope for fine lines, because there is hardly back-pressure can be felt and they bounce around quickly between the pressure stages. In the back-pressure region it is okay, however. What bring me 2,048 pressure levels to when I have no control at least. One-third of it? Although you can adjust the sensitivity in the driver down, but thus you lose pressure levels. So the question is: Why 2048 levels, if I have to anyway "off" most? A PR Blender my opinion.

3) The drivers are a disaster. I work on a Mac and Huion advertises prominently with a Mac on the package layout. But the drivers are absolute kindergarten. I propose as a computer scientist at something with his hands behind his head and wonder how an "international" operating company can be trusted to publish a waste:

- The configuration application is potthässlig and gives the impression of a fourth grader would have clicked together they.
- The hotkey configuration does not recognize the German layout. Apparently the letters and symbols in the selection list are entered hard and purely designed for English layouts. So you have, for example, for the zoom function, which with Command and Plus (selection: Cmd + "= +") is stored in most programs, the "` '"take symbol instead of the" + "symbol, because there where with us "+" is the English layout is the "}" and there where us "` "is to be found, in English found the" + ". This is an incredible Fummel- and search action. Especially since there is no way to create the program's profile and to use the slightly different shortcuts for programs has to repeat the whole process.
- The drivers are in absolute conflict with other pointing devices such as a mouse. Once you use the mouse, and then switches back to the tablet starts the display of the cursor to spin and any cursor icons appear which completely contradict the screen content. And then it takes a few seconds before it catches up.
4) I had in addition to the tablet side where also the HUION logo is even extreme noise. When I got close to the pin, caught the tablet to spin and even had to be disconnected from the USB cable to catch up.

So maybe just a Monday device? Who knows, but I at least the desire passed on HUION tablets and went back again.

Maybe I try more of a UGEE G5 and if that does not work, but I'll probably have to take more money into their own hands and push the top dog Wacom into the throat. Perhaps it is no Intuos Pro M, but an Intuos Pen & Touch.

By the way, I noticed that I really like the title would by touch gestures move, rotate and want back in. This is considerably more pleasant than if you constantly have to switch between mouse and tablet back and forth for this rather short actions. Who uses a MacBook Pro knows these gestures work as well with the touchpad. They are also much more intuitive than having thus abruptly performs the actions in steps with buttons and.
