Unfortunately, here the gruesome update policy was taken over by Google's Android: Responsible for system updates are therefore the Carrier / Device manufacturers not the makers of the operating system (Mozilla Foundation). The device is therefore anything but "open" 'vendor Locking the finest' I am disappointed. Because you could have learned from Apple that make at least here everything right.
A gamble 'with a bit of luck you get the Telefonica version' then there is an update to 2.0 (2.3 would currently).
Who, like me, gets the Telekom / Congster version 'stuck at 1.3 currently OS.
Conclusion: Not recommended for supporters of free software rather buy 'an official designated by Mozilla as a developer device Firefox OS device.
April 2015 Update:
There is now also an update to Firefox OS 2.0.0 for Congsters version. But that still does not justify another star because the system was still hakeliger after the update, more bugs, especially in third-party apps, and the new features are limited. Honorable Mention: The Flashlight app now uses the Kammerablitz place, as before, just to make the screen white. I call that progress.
In source country is still nothing has happened: Alcatel considers it still does not publish the kernel sources for necessary even though the GPL requires that. Is surely not care that thing with a self-compiled firmware to equip eh "not really provided".
I maintain a disaster.
