This review I write only because I can agree with the previous speaker in any way; which in turn shows how difficult yet have the manufacturer to meet all customers' needs ...
Meanwhile, I have both keyboards in use: the Illuminated (since 13 January), and more recently, the K800. The wired Illuminated, which is already longer on the market, I had ordered it again for another PC, and for my father, the Wireless K800.
When I joined him, the K800, it was immediately clear that the second wired Illuminated again goes back and is also replaced by the K800. Since I had no previous comparison, the Illuminated was for me to date the ultimate. That has now changed, however:
What has convinced me immediately, is that really bright backlighting that can be dimmed in four stages to suit every taste and because of the wider lasered key labels the first keyboard is for me after the G15, the G19 and the Illuminated which their name rightly deserves.
Unlike the previous speaker, I find the matte, lightly textured palm rest more pleasant than the rubber coating of the Illuminated, so the K800 will also be easier to clean. That between the cursor keys again shine through parts in piano lacquer I would have no longer required, but that will be then probably changed again until the successor - as mentioned above, you can not stop it right for everyone.
Furthermore, I prefer the larger area of the keys should probably all which also meet who do not have small children. In addition, the richer keystroke for me is much more pleasant and gives better feedback; So once you have at the K800 not this extremely flat attack as usual for notebooks.
So, absolutely well taken care of for all those who excellently processed, want via USB in the state of charge always ready to use, backlit, wireless keyboard and prefer the traditional keyboards of the haptics more, are one with the K800.
Those who prefer the direction Notebook feel and perceive light tend to be sufficient in the dark the very thin laser engraved button labels, the Illuminated is probably the better choice.
How Whatever the choice, Logitech offers for different needs in any case the (currently) right product. "At present," reason alone, I would have preferred a wired K800 and would find this even better, since such a battery also do not last forever (hence only four stars) ... oh yes, the manufacturers have it but not easy ! ;-)
