The installation is done in minutes, and the card is recognized without worry. Two screws are included, as well as two short power cables (the first to connect to a Molex connector, the second for a SATA connector).
It is small (9 × 7 cm × 7 cm or 12 if you count the entire mounting plate: I put a picture of the card installed in my PC), sturdy, simple and well built. At the back of the PC, nothing protrudes and USB ports are perfectly aligned and accessible (see my second photo). These ports are also quality: the connectors go in and out very easily, nothing hangs, nothing moves.
Let's talk about speed now.
To do the test, I used my fastest external drive, measured at 105-110 MB / s read and write on a PC with 3 USB natively. Results on the map: 99-100 MB / s read and write. It is slightly less, without knowing why, but the difference is actually quite minimal.
Warning: Speed may vary due to your fixed hard disk. I have several in my lap and on some it is down to 80-85 MB / s. The PCI-E card is not involved.
In short, I have no big complaints at all! Power cables a short hair, flow could be slightly higher, that's all. For just over 20 euros, I do not see how I could not advisable.
