More precisely:
1. The moved images closely or when you do a tracking shot without a tripod.
This problem, which made the views taken difficult to watch, if not impossible to look telephoto, is almost solved with this new camcorder.
So I filmed insects on flowers without having to hold my breath so as not to move. I also did a short traveling without tripod on mountains to maximum focal length; certainly shake is noticeable, but it is quite bearable.
2. The quality of focus (AF).
With the HDR-SR5E I occasionally blurred views. After 40 minutes of shooting with this new camcorder, about a hundred sequences including a number taken from life (that is to say in an "instinctive"), I have no blurred view!
3. The quality of exposure, including the management of backlight.
Again I occasionally problems with the HDR-SR5E, I have not encountered with this camcorder. In particular I filmed (still in progress) of the children while I had the sun in his eyes, and so I could not see the screen; I still got a good result of exposure.
To conclude the comparison with the HDR-SR5E:
-L'encombrement And weight are notably lower. This camcorder is easier to handle. As regards the overall size can be put in a large pocket such as that an anorak.
-The Built-in mic gives far superior results.
-The Projector without being a HD quality is handy.
While until now I was content with sound and motion pictures, with this new camcorder I realized a little 25-minute documentary film about a mountain hike with guide for children (which requires no preparation and prior script writing). Besides the beautiful pictures the result satisfies me (as the first test) without me having to delete sequences, and is, at first glance, not boring. That this camcorder opens me filmmaking horizons (of course amateurs!) That I had not explored so far, the reason being that with this device we can (for my case anyway ) focus on filmmaking and forget about technique.
If the product seems quite excellent few negatives (but the second order), however:
-The Manual is unless minimalist. For example explanation on the projector startup does not seem clear to me. So to see I start with the projector first viewing of the film to the screen and then I start projection, which wasted a few seconds of projection. It is possible that there is another method, but I have not found. The FAQ on the Sony site are not clearer than the user manual.
-With The HDR-SR5E I had the opportunity to film in the dark with an infrared projector, I do not find this unit. But at this price it should not be too much to ask!
