He had a bike worth about 500 and this very castle. He had parked the bike for about 2 hours in near the train station in Fulda, came back and the fence hung his castle: without a bike! :-(
The funny part of it is that not the lock was cut, but the true vulnerability of this castle was recognized: The locking cylinder! It's been a lock cylinder simplest type of obviously referred to the so-called "picking", ie open the lock with a sort of "master key" and "Poland Key" (see Google) or a "Dietrich" opened.
What good is the thickest chain, when the lock cylinder is a laughingstock for the thief ?? Therefore, this castle also has only the security level 6 of 15 in ABUS and is recommended only for cheap bikes.
But what you use my review when I have a better suggestion for you ?!
I myself have a ABUS lock, but the Granite City chain in 1010 with a thick titanium chain and an almost "unpickbarem" locking cylinder (Security Level 12). The thing is super, but also costs 4 times as much as the cracked here Catena.
If you want to orient you in the price range of 20, the following would be interesting for you:
I have an extra lock for my eBike, which costs as much as the Catena, but is much safer. It is the combination lock 8392 with a thick chain of Master Lock. Look here:
