Mediocre optical performance but very compact and light

I have the Nikkor 50 1.4 G compared intensively with the Sigma 50 1.4 ART. The question for me was whether the performance at maximum aperture is really so different, as is asserted everywhere. The comparison mainly refers to aperture 1.4 - 2 because I want to use such a lens in this aperture range yes.

PRO Nikon 50 1.4 G:
- Sealing against dirt and moisture
- Small, light and compact
- Excellent sharpness from f / 2.8

CONTRA Nikon 50 1.4 G:
- Very soft at f / 1.4 - here, the Sigma is vastly superior.
- Plenty of chromatic aberrations
- Not quite as beautiful bokeh

Although the Sigma weighs just 900g, I decided nevertheless to this and against the Nikon 50 1.4. Unfortunately, the optical performance of the double-Gaussian structure has its weaknesses at maximum aperture and is no longer appropriate now with high-resolution cameras such as the D800.
