When weather is nice, I would say almost that the result sometimes is better than the GoPro, in not so nice, it's vice versa. But that is purely subjective, since both cameras are slightly different in color saturation. (Which, however, can be compensated according to the taste and feeling during cutting.) Backlit however GoPro are more familiar. Perhaps here a later firmware update remedy.
If you look at the whole package, so you have here with underwater housing (with shallow immersion lens), color monitor, remote control, various goprokompatiblem "accessories, and even enclosed 32GB (Class 10) Micro SD card (*) an all-round carefree package" with top image quality to nearly half of what a Hero 3+ (without memory card and monitor) costs.
What could be negative?
The menu is not operated as the Hero with only 2 buttons, but with 4 plus 2 for the camera itself Here are some menu items or displays (eg: fp / s). So small that they can hardly be read without reading glasses. Also, it is very difficult to see anything on the display when the sun.
Furthermore, there is no recording modes beyond 1080p. 2K or 4K are therefore previously reserved for the Hero - but has thus also their problems and teething ...
The corresponding app, at the moment can not very much. And movies on a tablet Watch via WiFi is not the enjoyment, because the device sends only a minimum resolution of the tablet.
