This is the first time I use an e-book reader. After a few days of use, I find that I read as well as with a book. In fact we forget very quickly that this is not a paper book. The weight corresponds to that of a good book (I have not quantified). Therefore wins when we want to lug around cobblestones in the subway. I enjoyed several features: - Bookmarks management, including with accompanying notes, which can read multiple books simultaneously, - Opportunity to highlight and retain the notes the passage in question (handy when you want up quotes) - Search function of a word - Different font sizes and the text automatically adjusts to the screen, - View history pages, handy when following hyperlinks in the text, - Easy access to the dictionary (definitions in English only, 2 possible dictionaries) by double-clicking a word a small window opens at the bottom, we can be satisfied with a short definition or access the full definition).
The drawbacks I noticed: - For some light reflections (some positions from the lamp) - mostly avoided turning differently, but it's true that this is not like the paper that level, - Flashing when turning the page (but are rapidly more careful).
A priori one can also look at pictures (I see no point in grayscale but good), listen to music (you need a helmet, I have not tested how it affected the consumption). No trouble to do on storage, between Memory Stick and SD card, there is the field.
I was lucky enough to make me offer, and I appreciate this gift :-).
PS: After several months, I'm still happy to use it. I noticed some difficulties in reading the pdf containing too much math formulas (research articles, etc.) This is also more than likely due to the pdf reader. I also enjoyed the sketch function - handy when you want to make diagrams to think, even if the reaction time is a bit limited.
