The repeater is small and unobtrusive, so it bothers visually nowhere. On the bottom, an additional LAN connection is available, to which one can directly connect another device if necessary. The repeater can be in principle applied in any power outlet; ideal location is about halfway between the router and the terminal. Although my home is certainly not oversized with about 85 m² and the modem router in the hallway (ie approximately in the middle of the apartment) is, I have for some reason in some rooms poor to very poor reception. I tested the repeater in the bedroom, where the reception so far has always been worst (very slow connection, frequent disconnection). When I am with the laptop in the living room, lit continuously all five bars of the connection indicator; In the bedroom there were against it so far only 1-2. The repeater has the least raised to stable 3 - not perfect (really fast the internet connection is still not), but significantly better than without.
Whether the power spectrum of this repeater is sufficient, of course depends on the local conditions and the intensity / type of Wi-Fi usage. The repeater works only in the 2.4 GHz range and brings it to max. 300Mbit / s. For my purposes, that's fine (my modem router has no more); However, I use no streaming services, smart TV, etc., but use only WiFi for Internet access with laptop or (rarely) smartphone. For heavy users or for transferring very large distances, there are certainly better / more powerful devices; for normal home use this is well suited to increase the wireless range and to improve the reception.
