This phone is intended for hard of hearing people, but in fact it is much more useful for visually impaired people. I bought it for a friend and now she partially sighted know who calls when the phone rings and when to call someone she knows right away if it is wrong button. Only incovenient is that you can not tone it down sufficiently, an inconvenience for someone who has no hearing problems. And perhaps he would have been worthwhile to wireless which is not the case. But otherwise perfect!
