Preliminary short to common function.:
The transfer rates are highly dependent upon various factors, as described on several occasions. I've been using the Gigabit interface (1000 Mbps) with adjacent cans in section 400 Mbps! About the cabinet and fuses away figure is still 180 Mbps in an old building. This is so neat and the many active wireless devices on the network (mobile phones, Vita, streaming devices) relief of wireless bandwidth and the corresponding device as well as a good value for streaming via dLAN; also of HD material.
Now, the essential shortcoming:
I tested four devices of PA6030er kits with three LAN ports and had to break down after repeated for TP-Link Support notice that the standby mode was not activated at the factory four adapters ..! This can not be changed, which recommended that the support after the 3rd email with the BETA tool. Whether it is or not, I can not judge. With the PA4030er also tested but I am going on the assumption that also activate over the BETA tool would not help. The support is at a loss and little involved and recommends to contact the dealer, so returning. After all, he reacted the same Tag..naja.
Result: no standby, even after the 15 specified by the support min.
Consequence: a steady consumption of 2.8 watts (idle) and 2.9 watts (with an active port). When multiple adapters are already coming in unfortunately on some EUR.
That this function can actually work, shows the PA4010P. Here, the adapter switches visually and in the power consumption by about 10 minutes in the standby with a saving of 85% (1.5 watts at idle, 1.8 watts and 0.3 watts in transfer standby). In addition, the standby mode is enabled at the factory. It is all.
The same problem also shows the PA4030er Kit, also tested with four adapters. From the factory the Standby is again activated at all and can, however, enable the BETA tool. The standby mode is not working thus unfortunately still .. the BETA tool as well as the bundled software are improved. At least it should work.
How to apply a function and then but deactivated at the factory, is beyond me. If for at least the activation would work .. Thus the adapters are unfortunately only of interest to those who love without the standby mode.
The overall impression: an immature, whose market launch device.
