The delivery time was a bit longer than usual Amazon. Although the shoes were available and I am prime customer, to delivery have passed four days.
I ordered the same size, which I have also in the boat and was pleasantly surprised that the sneaker fit. For other manufacturers, the sizes often fall very different from in the various models. But if I had not had my boots, I would have ordered my normal size and the shoes would have been too small. Therefore, the shoes should be ordered one size bigger (I'm usually 46, the sneakers are in 47 and fit very well).
Comfort I find very high because the shoes are very light and push through their shape anywhere. The recesses for the ankle bones are sufficiently deep and slightly flared, so that even here nothing suppressed. Since I have a high instep, the shoe lace can be enjoyable by the straight parallel lacing.
The processing of the shoe I would call quality. All material transitions are provided with double seams, so here should solve nothing. The sole is glued, but the lower outsole inside out in the front area on the midsole, so that the usual loosening the sole should be avoided in the big toe ball area.
In addition to the raised floor a toe protection was applied, which should prevent the usual signs of wear on the shoes. At the heel a strip sole was hoisted above the lower third, which also ensures protection of the shoe when pulling with the other foot (toes to heel provide) is.
The structure of the sole is quite simple, but also on slippery ground enough grip (mud and wet leaves). It is positive that by the absence of gaps and cracks hardly dirt will stick, because one wears the house. In conventional outdoor shoes one wears so purely to half the field or forest road. The material "Green Rubber" used comes from recycled rubber and partly to be very robust and durable.
I was pleasantly surprised by the tongue: this is continuous on the sides, so here about no water can run into the shoe. Water and moisture should always be an issue thanks to Gore-Tex standard.
What I do not like is the holder of the laces on the last loop. Here nylon loops were used. These were indeed sewn neatly and Marterial is thick, but that could be due to wear over time to a vulnerability. In the same way also the finger loop was realized at the heel, but really fits through a finger, which makes the job easier.
My Conclusion:
I was looking for a capable everyday outdoor shoe and found with the Timberland Greeley Approach Low Leather GTX exactly. Its shape and clever material selection it looks like a sporty sneaker and not like a high-tech outdoor or hiking boots.
Walking with this shoe is comfortable and fatigue-free thanks to the ideal for me fit and light weight.
